This is the part I struggle with the most. Many people grasp there is great corruption in the world, but they can't comprehend why? What exactly do they think is the reason behind it? They have to realize it's not simply "for the money," right, that it's something deeper?

 

If a person can't handle it, fine, but there can't be too many of them, honestly, or else we'll wind up back where we started, in a world full of ignorance run by evil people.

They may get the power aspect, but they almost never take it further to the subjugation and depraved desires part. No one likes to think they are a slave. The standard reply then becomes, "oh, that's just the way it is…" as if that normalizes everything. It's frustrating and sad. I am hopeful though.

Agreed, with the understanding it will not be 100% perfect under any circumstances. The impact must be lasting though. The kids now have to grow up with a similar sense of stewardship that we have here.
