BANGOR, Maine (WABI) -The mystery remains.
What happened to 17 cats that vanished recently in a Bangor neighborhood? Pet owners and people continue to wonder and come up with their own theories but still no answers.
“It’s the unknown, you know, what happened,” asks Anne Foster. That is the question on people’s minds in this quiet neighborhood in Bangor.
“She was kind of a beautiful tomboy,” says Foster.
Last week, we first spoke to Foster about her cat, Frankee, who hasn’t come home.
“I want to believe she’s in the garage or a shed, or someone took her home thinking, ‘Oh, this is such a nice kitty.,” she says.
But recently, Frankee joined the growing number of cats that vanished from this neighborhood.
Foster thinks a wild animal like a coyote is to blame. “The morning she went missing, my neighbor said that there was a cat fight. Was it a cat fight, or was it something getting her?”
