I'm pretty sure they may, to keep it within a closing tight circle.

How do you go about filing an official request for the GOV stuff, when it leaves a paper trail.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/study-shows-84-wildfires-caused-humans-180962315/

According to a press release, researchers from the University of Colorado, Boulder’s Earth Lab took a deep dive into the U.S. Forest Service’s Fire Program Analysis-Fire Occurrence Database, analyzing all wildfires recorded between 1992 and 2012. The researchers found that humans caused more than 1.2 million of the 1.5 million blazes in the database.

The rest were obviously lightning strike, as climate change has never been recorded lighting a fire.

For eucalypt forest, as is found in Cali, controlled burning off or back burning is recommended seasonally, to prevent years of fuel build up on the ground which cause the fires to get out of control.

It's the stupid environmentalists, with the emphasis on mentalists, who prevent that from being done properly. Then same said activists set arson to prove their climate change cult is justified.

Off the top of my head, and I read AUS stats on it a while back, …

Wait, here's an article…

Arson: The motivations for why people commit arson are varied and complex, but arson is behind a large number of bushfires both in Australia and internationally.

While figures vary, around half of all bushfires in Australia are either known to be deliberately lit or are considered suspicious, according to the Australian Institute of Criminology.
