splits the mind when i try to think of how easy Gov/Intel/Media shoved the phrase "Homeland" into American vernacular so easily. Previously, that wording like "Fatherland" and "Motherland", "Homeland" would have been used as a punchline… everything changed "after 911" now twenty years later "America" has become a punchline to the world.
