As a fem anon, I have some level of expertise on this earring controversy.

Kamala has multiple holes in each ear. She wears "pierced earrings" that fit in the holes in her ears. Women do not wear "clip on" earrings which hurt (and tend to slip off if they are not tight enough to hurt the ear lobe) if they have pierced ears. Just not done.

So why would Kamala wear both pierced earrings (the hoops in the photo) and a "clip on" pearl earring at the same time? Only to use the earphone function in the clip on.

Just my opinion.
