Honest attempt at a good idea: problem is, stock market would crash. You think millions of day traders are going to pay what little they made from a handful of stocks every single day? My old friend Gino would have laughed his ass off, RIP.

If at any given day an average day trader made $200 profit from, let's say, 15 stock tradesโ€ฆ. but each stock trade was taxed $5โ€ฆ. that is $75 they would need to give to the government. That means they would only be making $125 profit. Not badโ€ฆ. but then add annual price inflation, energy costs, mortgage payments needed to be made, food, on and onโ€ฆ. they would hardly brake even!

โ€ฆ.And that's not to mention, some day traders have their bad days and can actually lose money too. So yah, that would make millions of day traders quite the stock market. As good as government intervention sounds it almost never works!

It will more likely be nuclear war. Our so-called 'leaders' have no reverse gear. They will, and have now announced, they will be directly involved with attacking Russia soon. Better get ready to hunker down in your basement (if you are lucky enough not to live in a major city).

>We are still far from the finish line. I don't want to think about how much debt Jim is in, having already sold his car, so make sure to backup offline anything you are paranoid about losing.

Been doing that for years + have multiple copied backup drives offline/off-grid, faraday caged.

Under terms of what most people know today, Russia invaded Ukraine similar to why America threatened to invade Cuba back in the day when the Soviets wanted amp up their military over thereโ€ฆ. luckily with diplomacy that crisis de-escalated.

Severe Balkanization leading to communities and jurisdictions going their own way, people no longer trusting the media/institutions/government, perhaps defection in times of war and people refusing to cooperate with one another. A failed state.
