This is part of the abortion argument. Hear me out. Trump trying to get the talk of abortion out of national politics.
For anti abortion people, IVF presents a problem. Because it involves fertilizing a number of eggs. There's more than 1 fertilized egg, and they do a procedure to implant one in a woman's uterus. They use the others one at a time if the first one doesn't take.
Ok, lets say they fertilized 10 eggs, and the 2nd implantation is successful. There's 8 more fertilized eggs, or, if you prefer, little lives there that they are going to throw away because they're not needed now.
So coming out in favor of IVF takes away that argument from the democrats. They can't scare liberal people with the 'he's taking away IVF' argument
