If Trump and Sessions had come out of the gate swinging, putting people in leg irons on a daily basis, the general public, conditioned by decades of MSM and establishment brainwashing, would have viewed it as nothing but a vendetta. Trump needed to drag the truth out of the shadows and bring it into the light of day. Exposing the truth is the last thing these people want. Even if it is continually discounted by the MSM, many people (not all) will eventually see enough around the periphery that they will begin to have doubts and question the reality they have been fed. At that point, logical arguments can be made and enough people will listen that the movement toward accountability will not be in danger of being squashed before it can even begin.
