Read that story…. and, like most (I assume) believed it to be more than plausible. It was good writing from someone who (considering his security clearance), would know.

Not for nothing, I like the sites host. Really.

And I've had the ultimate priviledge of meeting an actual operator (Medic) who was on the streets of Mogidishu (Mog) during the "Black Hawk Down" conflict on 10/3/1993.

I dug heavily on that back in the day, and Mark Bowden's book (Black Hawk Down) is very much considered the "debrief" the men there never got….

Our great operator friend, whom I had the absolute priviledge to be able to shake his hand, said that before the movie "Black Hawk Down" was officially released to the public, it was shown to everyone who survived the conflict (Invitation only) at Fort Benning, GA (Home of the Infantry!).

After the showing of the final cut of the movie to all of the men who were actually THERE…. our great friend told me that Ridley Scott (Yes, the director) came out on stage and stated that if everyone present thought the movie was not accurate enough….. he would gladly "can it" right then and there and the movie would not see the light of day…

You might want to think about what that actually means…. (Money???)

Well, our great friend told me that the movie is VERY accurate to about 85% and would have been higher percentage wise, but you cant fit all the details of a 20 hour fire fight into a 3 hour movie…. Ok. Fair enough…

Hence, Very accurate. There's some great details about our friend that would truly inspire, really….

But, I don't know it all, and don't claim to. Just remember…. we've got some serious good guy's looking out for us. Please say a prayer for them….. they deserve it.
