Biden Admin Defies Subpoenas Regarding Executive Order to ‘Promote Voter Registration’
The Biden administration has been defying Congressional subpoenas demanding transparency about how it plans to implement an executive order that grants federal agencies the tools to register more voters. Executive Order 14019 enacted by Joe Biden in March 2021 calls for “soliciting and facilitating approved, nonpartisan third-party organizations and state officials to provide voter registration services on agency premises.” Lawyer Cleta Mitchell said that a US Marshall whistleblower has revealed to her that some agencies have even sent out voter registration guidelines to noncitizens, including illegal aliens in US federal prisons. The Biden administration has met with left-wing activist groups, including George Soros’s Open Society Foundation.
Critics claim EO 14019 violates the Hatch Act — which prohibits civil service employees in the executive branch from engaging in political activity — because it uses civil service employees to selectively decide who register to vote.
