I'm a Kentuckian living in Indiana but when this hit social media last night it was mentioning the sheriff's daughter who is somehow related to the judge as well, possibly an uncle as the article stated their (sherrif & judge's kids are cousins) and there is a 3rd person that has recused from the case who is also related to both. It may have disapperaed becaused it is a child and in a small community like this her identity would be known.
It doesn't seem plausible that it's over this deputy's actions as he has served time etc.
Sheriff walked in, told court staff/bailiff he neede to speak to the judge in chambers , arguement ensued and shots rang out. A molested daughter seems plausible but hey, it's KY so there's not telling.
