I am a ukanon, and I have despised the monarchy and all it stands for as long as I can remember. Very few of my friends or family have any time for them either. It is not personal – the whole thing is an anachronism which should have been abandoned centuries ago. My sense is that there is a core sentimental support for royalty, buttressed by an obseqious MSM – but a major drop of revelations regarding the corruption and criminality of that family and their cohorts in the deep state, and most Brits would turn away from them in utter disgust – if not clamour to string them up in the streets. They are on borrowed time in my view. Again, not personal – the criminals amongst them should be properly tried, and the rest allowed to slip into productive anonymity, for all our sakes; theirs included.
