I understand how it could make someone a leftist. It caused me to fail so many times when I could have succeeded that I wanted to pack it all in and just hand my responsibility over to government as long as I could sit around, drink, and be a bad/mediocre person. Guarantee me basic income, food stamps, so no matter how badly I screw up, I can live to drink another day. Fuck that!

Now that I understand how socialism really works, I realize that it's just not an option. It would be the end of everything that's good. I also have a connection to God now, and I really that good vs. evil is real, and that it REALLY REALLY matters.

AA is not perfect, but it works for some people. What worked for me was having a swollen liver at 30 and shooting pain in my upper right quadrant every time I drank. My health is great today, and my mind is sharp.

When you have an addiction you have a demon in you - whether you believe it literally or just functionally, it's like there is something inside you that is separate from you that wants to drink and will convince you to drink. It's as though the demon discovered that you drink and has attatched itself to you so that it can experience alcohol vicariously through you. You need to recognize that "voice" as a foreign invader and you need to realize that the only way to beat it is to starve it for a long time by never giving it what it wants. Applies to any addiction.

The problem is that socialism presents the image of a utopia, in which everyone does there best and looks out for everyone else. No human left behind. The PROBLEM is that when socialism is enforced by the goverment, absolute power corrupts absolutely and a kleptocracy is the eventual result. Likewise, in order to hand that control over to the government, you need to also hand over your freedom because just as the government is not spiritually fit enough to be trusts, members of society are not spiritually capable of sharing fairly with neighbors and contributing earnestly to that society - so the government needs to control people tightly to keep the machine running. So instead of utopia, you get the exact opposite - a totalitarian dystopia.

You piss off. I care about my fellow anons here, even if I will never know who they are. King George and King Barry drove a lot of otherwise decent people into addiction with their satanic tyranny and sabotage of America and I sympathize with them. I am one of them.

A few words of advice is not a slide. Learn the difference.

You know what you can do? Just go about your business until the chatter dies down on its own. I know I've already said my piece on the subject. 3 or 4 posts made. Real anons will reel themselves in. Nothing will be "done about it". Nothing should "be done about it". This board is virtually unmoderated.

Wow, 23 posts already? Without a single contribution to anything. How much do you get paid? Per post? Per reply? Per hour? Or do you collect a government salary for this?
