Music mogul P. Diddy has said if he could have anyone as a father, he

would choose President Barack Obama.

P. Diddy wants to be adopted by President Barack Obama.

The 40-year-old rapper thinks America's first black leader is a great dad

and he would be proud to be his son.

P. Diddy - real name Sean Combs - said: "I ain't going to lie - if God

said I could pick one person to be my father, I'd want to be Sean Combs

Obama.

"That's how dope he is. I hope he reads this interview and adopts me. I

wouldn't even have to be in the will. I got my own money!"

P. Diddy also believes hip-hop may have played a part in the Democratic

senator winning the race for the White House.

He said: "I think we are probably responsible for Obama being in office,

yes… the confidence, the swagger we instilled in our communities made

that possible.”

Birmingham police and firefighters are on the scene of a shooting in the Five Points South area that left four people dead late Saturday night.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald said the shooting happened just after 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue South.

Initial reports indicate club patrons were waiting in line outside Hush, a hookah and cigar lounge on Magnolia Avenue, when a drive-by shooting took place. Witnesses said the gunfire sounded like it came from a weapon outfitted with a “switch” which converts a gun to full automatic.

Detectives are working to confirm it was a dribe-by or if the shooters were on foot, police said.

Two men and a woman were killed at the scene and a fourth victim died at UAB Hospital, Fitzgerald said.

“From speaking with our officers and speaking with our detectives, we have dozens of gunshot victims from this area,” said Fitzgerald.

Firefighters took eight people from the scene to hsopitals and many others arrived at hospitals in private vehicles.

“I’m told at least four of those gunshot victims are life threatening,” Fitzgerald said.

Police believe there were multiple people shooting, Fitzgerald said. No one is in custody.

“We believe that multiple shooters fired multiple shots on a group of people,” Fitzgerald said.
