Abraham wasn't an Israelite. God promised the nation to Abraham, not to the Israelites. Later on down his bloodline, Jacob was the one to become known as Israel. Israel is a bloodline, has nothing to do with modern day Israel (the land). So all the people of Earth is blessed through Abraham's and his God, not through Israel, which started with Jacob.
