Mike Rowe brought Victor Davis Hanson onto his podcast for an interview to discuss Class Warfare as contrast against the 2024 election stakes. The impetus for the interview was an article written by VDH a few months ago about the shift in the American electorate – SEE HERE.

Within the interview VDH walks through a summary of how a modern muscular tech industry replaced Mainstreet on the financial side of financial economics and American wealth. Essentially, how a small group of tech companies replaced the blue chip titans and industrialists on the global wealth scale.

As 8 billion people started being able to purchase the goods and services of a small American group of entrepreneurs, all focused heavily inside the tech and finance sector, the people who owned wealth shifted dramatically. Decades later, against the backdrop of globalism, the issue surfaces as the industrialists (Main Street corps) offshored their manufacturing, while the tech industrialists (Muscular Wall Street) started to be the wealthiest people in the USA as a result of selling their tech products to the world.

Within the discussion,the academically disposed VDH points out empirical data that bolsters his theories and analysis. Rowe is in general agreementas they both discuss the granular consequences. However, there is one fascinating part (prompted below) where VDH accurately identifies conservative economic hero Milton Friedman as one of the early globalist villains.

VDH is correct when he says that Friedman was a rabid open borders advocate, who had no issue with lowered wages for U.S. workers and embraced the global system of manufacturing which led to a destroyed U.S industrial base creating the Rust Belt.Few people on the conservative side of politics will ever admit how Milton Friedman was the original Bush-class economist. Russia turns US-made missile launcher into ‘crater’ – MOD (VIDEO)

An Iskander missile has been used to destroy a HIMARS system in Ukraine’s Sumy Region, the report said

Russian forces have obliterated a US-made HIMARS launcher as well as its crew in Ukraine’s Sumy Region, Moscow’s Defense Ministry has claimed.

The strike took place overnight in a rural area, according to purported footage of the engagement released by the ministry on Sunday. It showed several vehicles driving down a road and stopping next to a large building, which was then wiped out by a powerful explosion.

The ministry said the site washit by an Iskander missile, which “left only a crater” in its wake. The location of the strike was identified as the village of Shaposhnikovo, roughly 10 km southwest of the regional capital Sumy and 45 km from the Russian border.

Sumy Region is adjacent to Russia’s Kursk Region, which Ukraine invaded last month, committing thousands of soldiers and some of its best weaponry in an attempt to seize territory. After some initial success, Kiev’s forces were contained and are currently facing a counteroffensive.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky claims that capturing Russian territory was key to his ‘victory plan’, which he intends to present to US President Joe Biden this week. He reportedly seeks security guarantees similar to those given to NATO members which Donald Trump would not be able to reverse if he is elected president in November.

The Russian military estimates Ukrainian casualties in the Kursk Region incursion at over 16,000.Kiev has also lost hundreds of tanks, armored vehicles and artillery units, as well as dozens of multiple launch rocket systems, including US-made HIMARS and MLRS systems, according to ministry statistics.

Kiev wants own Christian patriarchate

(Dictator) Vladimir Zelensky’s call is seen as an attempt to elevate the status of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine

Kiev is working to obtain patriarchate status for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), a schismatic entity propped up by the Ukrainian government, according to Vladimir Zelensky.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, the Ukrainian leader revealed he had discussed the matter with a delegation of hierarchs from the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in late August. The hierarchs reportedly have a “vision of an action plan,” yet the matter is still pending discussions with the patriarch of Constantinople.

“I’ve said that our people, Ukrainians, would understand if our status was elevated to patriarchate. The exarchs accepted the information and will convey it to theEcumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, they will discuss it,”Zelensky stated.(They kicked out the real Ukrainian patriarch that was approved by the council)

In August, Zelensky signed controversial legislation outlawing religious organizations that are suspected of having ties with Russia.The law is widely perceived as being primarily aimed at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the largest Christian denomination in the country, which was previously subordinate to the Moscow Patriarchate.

The canonical UOC has long faced competition from multiple rivaling unrecognized entities claiming to be the true Ukrainian church. It suffered a major blow when the OCU was established in 2018 with the help of then-President Pyotr Poroshenko. During his ultimately failed re-election bid, Poroshenko touted the emergence of the new church as a major – if not the main – achievement of his term.

The OCU was recognized by the Patriarchate of Constantinople, a move that caused the Moscow Patriarchate to break ties with the body, thus causing a major schism in the Orthodox world.

With the beginning of the conflict between Kiev and Moscow, the UOC broke its ties to Moscow, declaring independence. This, however, did not spare it from the ever-growing pressure of the Ukrainian authorities, who have repeatedly accused it of still being linked to Russia.

Its property has been seized and handed over to the OCU, while its priests have been harassed by both nationalists and Ukrainian intelligence agencies.
