Someone please steel-man the argument for us why the whole country/world couldn't file a claim for Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress against the Media for decades of provable lies.

That's the personal strategy, but this is more about the tactic to end the MSM. Clearly, the court of public opinion trumps the law, but waiting for bankruptcy seems to have an outweighed amount of collateral damage on the way to that end.
