If Kamala encourages developers to build 3 million houses (even though we actually need 4 million) they will not be well built because she wants housing for low income buyers/renters. Developers/builders/lenders DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MONEY. I believe she will set the prices of the houses and cause havoc in the market.
She will probably also mandate WHO can live in these houses.
Not to mention, what she plans to do with existing zoning. No more local control. She just promised to step in if these crappy houses aren't built fast enough because of local regulations. (Some regulations are good.)
