anon, don't get me wrong, I love the Wreaking Crew.
I just want you to not make it into idolatry.
most of the lyrics from the 1960s were messed up narratives that filled people's heads up with really horrible expectations.
the 'love songs' were staulker obcessions in many cases. the lyrics of teen agers on drugs were sexual to a fault.
they didn't worry about the message that they were putting out.
a lot of the music was enhance with hypnotic tracks.
The music industry was very very corrupted and the very famous ones, for the most part, were either controlled or they fell off the wall of fame and were shattered.
even the 'counter culture' stuff was controlled.
people either 'fit in' to the wild drugs and sex rapey culture or
they were kicked out of the club.
so they could maybe be a session musician but they weren't going to be going on a talk show or touring as a big name.
why don't you live in the now and stop dwelling on memories.
that's not saying you can't like old music, but nostalgia for debauchery is rather creepy.
