‘But we’re going to have to raise corporate taxes,’ Harris told her after a pause.

That's just it,' Harris said.She neglected to say the details of her plan, which include a new 25 percent minimum tax on people worth more than $100 million, a capital gains hike, and an increase in the corporate tax to 28 percent.
Ruhle herself said after the interview that 'she doesn't answer the question … Where is she going to get the money from?'
'She said we just have to do it. And that's great and that's a campaign promise,' she added.

Brazil spiritual healer sentenced to 19 years for four rapes
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — A spiritual healer in Brazil known as João de Deus, or John of God, received his first prison sentence on Thursday following a deluge of sex abuse allegations since late last year.
A judge in Goias state issued a sentence of 19 years and four months for four rapes of different women, according to a statement from the court. Lawyers for the 77-year-old João de Deus said in a statement that they will appeal the decision.
Even Oprah Winfrey visited João de Deus in 2012 to interview him for her talk show, and called him “inspiring.”

London mayor urges Americans against re-electing Trump
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has warned Americans against re-electing former President Trump.
"What I’d say in a respectful way to Americans is: I don’t think you realize that the rest of the world is watching because we’ve got skin in the game," Khan reportedly said in an interview with Politico.
"What happens in America is the metronome… that sets the beat of what happens across the globe," Khan, who is in his third term as mayor of London, told the outlet while in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly. "It sets the beat for how other politicians behave in an election campaign."
Khan, a left-leaning Labour Party member, claimed that Trump's withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, efforts to overturn the 2020 election results and rhetoric about women and immigrants are dangerous, according to Politico. He encouraged Americans to consider Trump's first term.
