Trump praises Hungarian migration policy and doesn’t back down from his claims mass migration caused Brexit

By VOICE OF EUROPE 15 July 2018

In an interview on Air Force One with Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain, Trump states, “I said Brexit was going to happen for a specific reason: immigration. I think the people of the UK want to have who they want in their country, and I think what’s happening all over Europe is very sad”.

Piers claimed, “People were surprised you said that because America of course was built on immigration. The great culture of America is that it’s full of immigrants,”

He went on to ask the President, “So why do you not think it can work in Europe?”

The President explained, “I think it depends where they are [from]”

“Who they are, educational levels, work levels, I think it depends on a lot of things. I just see what’s happening, the crime is through the roof in some places that have never had crime.”

“You look at Hungary as an example. They’re not agreeing to do what some of the other countries did. Now it’s a very tough thing… yet [mass migration]is changing Europe. It’s seriously changing Europe.”

“You take a look at what’s happened in Paris, you take a look at what’s happened in London. You look at what’s going on — it’s changing Europe, and I don’t mean in a positive way,” he reiterated.

The interview took place after the President and First Lady’s “fantastic” meeting with Queen Elizabeth II.

London’s Muslim mayor tried to stop the Trump Train in his city… but failed!

By VOICE OF EUROPE 15 July 2018

One day after allowing the mayor’s disgraceful Trump balloon, the London police tried to stop the Welcome Trump March. It failed.

For many weeks, a Twitter user, called “IAmBritish” has been planning the “Welcome Trump March” which was to begin near the US Embassy in Vauxhall and after marching through London, end in time for the #FreeTommy march on Whitehall.

The group was to meet at 12:00 by the American Embassy in Vauxhall but as people were arriving, police gave out notices telling people they weren’t allowed to gather near the Embassy nor were they allowed to even walk towards it in groups of 3-4 people.

The hypocrisy of the London mayor giving a green light to a childish and offensive Trump balloon whilst ordering the police to block the pro-Trump march is one more symptom of a tyrannical government and a sign of things to come if we don’t act now.

However, his attempts failed and the group went on ahead, undeterred, walking with their pro-Trump red “MAGA” hats, banners, signs, U.S. and U.K. flags, even a few anti-Hillary Clinton t-shirts. The event went well, despite Khan’s efforts to block.

Elon Musk Drives Tesla Straight into China Trap

Elon Musk wants to be a groundbreaker in China

Instead, he may end up being broken by China.

Tesla signed an agreement last week with the government of Shanghai to open what is being billed as the first foreign wholly-owned manufacturing plant in China. It is also Tesla’s first factory outside the U.S., which will supposedly have a capacity to build 500,000 cars a year.

Musk has lately billed himself as the embodiment of President Donald Trump’s efforts to revitalize America’s manufacturing base. And the U.S. government has been sharply critical of China’s demands that U.S. companies operating in China partner with a Chinese firm that owns more than half of the business. According to the U.S. government, this is one of the principal tactics China uses to steal U.S. technology.

Has Tesla finally broken out of the “China First” cage?

That looks unlikely, based on what we know so far. Tesla lacks the capital to fund the investment itself, and the details were not disclosed. But, in a briefing last week, a Shanghai government official told Bloomberg that any sharing of technology would be “subject to negotiations.”

China has made no secret of its ambitions to dominate the manufacturing of electric car manufacturing. Its leaders have touted this as a goal and it forms a significant part of China’s infamous “China 2025” industrial plant. Getting ahold of Tesla technology would be a major coup for China.

Tesla has plenty of critics in the U.S.: It relies on subsidies from the U.S. government, its investors often seem like they are in a cult of personality, the CEO often appears unfocussed, and the balance sheet is opaque in areas where it seems stable and unstable where it is clear. (Full disclosure: I invested a few hundred dollars in an early banking company run by Elon Musk and was never able to figure out how to get my money back.)

Access to China is a panacea of sorts for the spirited electric carmaker, but Musk is entering with a weakened position. On Tuesday, Tesla also signed an electric vehicle investment agreement with Shanghai’s Lingang Management Committee, the Lingang Area Development Administration and the Lingang Group. A development and innovation center will also be set up. In theory, this is where a technology transfer could happen, even without a joint venture company.

That would defeat the purpose of having a wholly owned enterprise…

The Shanghai government also suggested it could pony up capital and help Tesla with the construction of its factory to get it running as soon as possible. Estimates for a Model 3 production line range between $3 billion and $5 billion. At its current burn rate, Tesla sure doesn’t have that kind of capital at its immediate disposal. A Tesla spokesperson said construction is expected to start soon, “after we get all the necessary approvals and permits.” It would be around another two years before cars start to roll off the assembly line and then a further two to three years to ramp up to full capacity.

Report: Israel Strikes Iran-Linked Base in Syria

The Times of Israel reports: Israel on Sunday night attacked a military base near Aleppo in northern Syria, the country’s official news agency SANA reported, citing a military source.

SANA said there was only damage to the site, identified as the Al-Nayrab airbase, adjacent to Aleppo’s international airport.

“The Zionist enemy (Israel)… targeted with its missiles one of our military positions north of the Nayrab military airport, but the damage was only material,” SANA said. However, there were unconfirmed reports of casualties at the site.

Al-Nayrab has in the past been linked with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps militia. The base was reportedly previously struck by Israel on April 29 as part of a large raid that also targeted weapons depots near Hama.

May Says Trump Told Her to SUE the EU, President Says It’s Still Not Too Late to Get ‘Brutal’ with Brussels

Prime Minister Theresa May has revealed that President Donald Trump’s “brutal” advice on dealing with the EU was that she should sue the bloc instead of making concessions to it.

The President had previously revealed that he would have dealt with Brussels “much differently” than the Tory leader, telling The Sun newspaper: “I actually told Theresa May how to do it but she didn’t agree, she didn’t listen to me… I would actually say that she probably went the opposite way.”

He added that it was “too bad what is going on,” and that her ultra-soft Brexit plans would “probably kill” a British-American trade agreement by leaving the EU with too much control over Britain’s economy for a deal to be made.

At a subsequent joint press conference with Mrs May outside the prime ministerial retreat of Chequers, he said he had been assured a deal would still be possible under her plans — not sounding terribly convinced — and confirmed that she had found his “tough” advice on how to approach the negotiations “too brutal” — but that she might still follow it if Brussels continued pushing her around.

Pressed on what that advice was in an interview with Piers Morgan after his meeting with the Queen, the President said it was for the Prime Minister if she wanted to reveal the “brutal option” he recommended, repeating: “I think it would’ve been great [if she had used it], but it’s not too late for her to do that necessarily.”

Speaking to the BBC on the Andrew Marr Show on Sunday morning, the Prime Minister finally revealed what the President had said: “He told me I should sue the EU. Not go into negotiations, sue them.”

She appeared to be unable to even consider taking such a combative approach, however, adding: “Actually no, we’re going into negotiations with them,” laughing incredulously.

Looks like Canada just did. They just suspended their 14,000 dollar rebate program on Musks electric vehicles … an now all those customer who are waiting on their M-3 to be delivered will have to pony up that additional cost themselves.
