Found this technical report on the Cesna crash that killed Loretta Fuddy.

What I find interesting is the stated cause: multiple fractured blades on the turbine compressor engine (not capable of further examination due to secondary thermal damage).

 

Didn't we have another incident lately (engine explosion), with a distressed landing…caused by a fractured blade? Anyone schooled in this area? I recall someone posting he was an aerospace mechanical engineer and stating he found the explanation very hard to believe as these are made out of extremely tough materials and thoroughly tested for stress fractures.
