God didn't want Adam & Eve not to have the knowledge of good and evil. He just didn't want them to cheat their way to it. He wanted them to live within the bounds and earn the knowledge of good and evil. Only then, with the understanding that comes from a life well lived, would the knowledge of good and evil prove its value. Original sin doesn't exist. but each new person can start fucking up as seldom or as often as they want and reap the consequences.
