Have you ever been invited to a party unknowingly? Surrounded, cornered by what you thought were your friends/peers? Ditty, as an example, made you sign an NDA, then locked you in, turned off the A/C and likely plied the drinks w/drugs. Are you sure you could walk into something like that and mentally overcome it?
Maybe, maybe not. I don't fault people for what they did or what's happened to them, I fault those who went back for more or brought their friends [knowingly].
Everyone of my friends knew, I despised weed, didn't enjoy drinking. I would always volunteer to be the DD to give myself the excuse to attend parties sober w/minimal hassle. At some point, w/out me realizing it, trying to slip me something/get me high or even laid had become an unspoken challenge. At some point, I figured it out, ultimately stopped hanging out w/them but it's typically people you trust who fuck you over.
Considering they'll eat us too, I would say you are correct.
