I have seen someone take this $999 e bike battery and submerge the battery into a bucket of water for 10 minutes and he even left the charging port exposed instead of covering it with the included rubber seal. After blowing the water out and drying it, he immediately put the battery back in and started the bike right up. So there is product out there that can work in the rain but you have to look for them.
