CNN has confirmed that Iranian missiles have made impact on Tel Aviv. Jordan and Iraq have shut their airspace. President Biden has ordered US military assets in the region to shoot down inbound Iranian missiles, according to the White House.

Police have reportedly killed the two gunmen responsible for the attack

A mass shooting occurred in Tel Aviv, Israel late on Tuesday, with at least 10 people reported wounded, including at least four critically.

The attack took place in the Jaffa area in the south of the city. Israeli police have acknowledged the incident, stating that they have been treating it as a suspected terrorist attack.

Unverified footage suggests that the incident involved at least two attackers, who arrived at the scene by tram and opened fire on commuters immediately after disembarking. At least one of the attackers appeared to be wielding an M4-patterned assault rifle.

Iran comments on Israel attack

Missile strike is a response to Israeli killings of Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC leaders, Tehran has said

“In response to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the martyr Nilforoshan, we struck at the heart of the occupied territories,” the IRGC said in a statement released about 30 minutes after the first missiles struck.

“If the Zionist regime responds to our attack, our next strikes will be more destructive,” the statement added.

“Iran’s legal, rational, and legitimate response to the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime—which involved targeting Iranian nationals and interests and infringing upon the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran—has been duly carried out. Should the Zionist regime dare to respond or commit further acts of malevolence, a subsequent and crushing response will ensue,” the mission said in a statement posted on X.
