"I was struck by two very odd things in the latest ILA head's speech/interview where he said they would cripple the economy.

This speech: https://maritime-executive.com/article/ila-declares-ports-are-ours-as-leaders-threaten-strike-will-cripple-you#:~:text=Views.%20ILA%20Declares%20%E2%80%9CPorts%20Are%20Ours%E2%80%9D%20as

ILA Declares “Ports Are Ours” as Leaders Threaten Strike “Will Cripple You"

The leadership and rank-and-file membership of the International Longshoremen’s Association were fired up in the first hours of their first coastwide…

One, because of tariffs, almost NO Chinese steel's coming to US Ports. There's a Glut of cheap, subsidized Chynese steel all over the world. So, his promising no deliveries of Chinese steel is basically a lie. He also promised that no lumber will be delivered either. Well, that's actually a local mill/trucking problem, not an Eastern seaboard port problem, unless they're shipping from Canada, which they're not, because of an even Older tariff (might date back to Clinton).

Second, he mentioned deliveries from Chyna for the Holidays. Again, Eastern seaboard ports are getting the strikes, not West Coast, where the cheaper delivery happens. Makes no sense.

He also mentioned cars, which I'll give him because EU does ship cars to eastern seaboard.

Second, I remember this little event: https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/10/business/jpmorgan-msc-gayane-cocaine-seizure/index.html

And given all the trafficking chatter, I can't help but wonder if there's another "game" going on, and that the ILA is playing along with and helping to STOP the trafficking.

It's NOT adding up, what we're being told, so it must be something else. I have no idea so I'll wait. But the con IS getting pulled on someone, perhaps "The Club That Can Not Add" aka MFM, at a minimum."
