Russian Anti-Air Missiles Likely Engaged Israeli Jets Attacking Syria's Coast

Israeli strikes have hit Syria for multiple straight days, with the latest being on the outskirts of Damascus, in the western part of the Rif Dimashq Governorate near Lebanon, on Thursday morning. Syrian national media says anti-air defense missiles are confronting "hostile targets".

But it was an overnight major attack on Syria's coast which has for the first time brought Israel close to clashing with the Russian military. An Israeli drone as well as warplanes reportedly targeted sites in the coastal Syrian city of Jableh before daybreak. A weapons depot was apparently targeted and destroyed, which crucially was situated near the Hmeimim Air Base, the largest Russian air base in Syria.

Chinese state media has cited a war monitor to say that "Syrian air defenses and Russian forces responded to the attack within 40 to 50 minutes."

Large explosions were heard and witnessed throughout the area, and resulted in large fires, to which emergency personnel responded.

The same aforementioned report detailed that "While there is no official confirmation, the pro-government Sham FM radio said the sounds heard in the skies over Jableh were the air defenses intercepting targets off the coast."

Leaked Files Expose Covert US Government Plot To ‘Destabilize Bangladesh’s Politics’

Leaked docs reveal that prior to the toppling of Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina, the US govt-funded International Republican Institute trained an army of activists including rappers and “LGBTQI people,” even hosting “transgender dance performances,” to achieve a national “power shift.” Institute staff said the activists “would cooperate with IRI to destabilize Bangladesh’s politics.”

On August 5, months of violent street protests finally toppled Bangladesh’s elected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. When the military seized power and announced the imposition of a so-called “interim administration,” video footage showed Hasina fleeing to India aboard a helicopter. As vast swarms of student protesters overran the presidential palace, Western media outlets and many of their progressive-leaning consumers cheered the rebellion, framing it as a decisive defeat of fascism and the restoration of democratic rule.

Hasina’s replacement, Muhammad Yunus, is a longtime Clinton Global Initiative fellow granted a Nobel Prize for pioneering the dubious practice of micro-lending. While Yunus has hailed the “meticulously-designed” protest movement that thrust him into power, Hasina personally accused Washington of working to remove her from power over her alleged refusal to allow a US military base on Bangladeshi territory. The State Department has dismissed allegations of US meddling as “laughable,” with spokesman Vedant Patel telling reporters that “any implication that the United States was involved in Sheikh Hasina’s resignation is absolutely false.”

But now, leaked documents reviewed by The Grayzone confirm the State Department was informed of efforts by the International Republican Institute (IRI) to advance an explicitly stated mission to “destabilize Bangladesh’s politics.” The documents are marked as “confidential and/or privileged.”

IRI is a Republican Party-run subsidiary of the National Endowment for Democracy, which has fueled an array of regime change operations across the globe since it was conceived in the office of CIA Director William Casey over forty years ago.

The newly-uncovered files reveal how IRI spent millions in the lead-up to Hasina’s overthrow covertly coaching opposition parties and establishing a regime change network concentrated among the country’s urban youth. Among the GOP-run Institute’s front line foot soldiers were rappers, ethnic minority leaders, LGBT activists hosting “transgender dance performances” in the presence of US embassy officials – all groomed to facilitate what the US intelligence cutout called a “power shift” in Bangladesh.

While NARA, an independent executive branch agency overseen directly by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, technically has the authority to delay the release of the records by 30 days, the timing of the move is drawing criticism. Attorneys representing Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama secured the extension under the Presidential Records Act, 44 U.S.C. § 2208(a)(3)(B).

CONCEALING BIDEN CORRUPTION?

“Biden, Obama, and NARA are concealing these potentially explosive records until the day after the 2024 election, November 6, 2024,” contends the conservative litigation group America First Legal (AFL). They note that in August 2022, they attempted to obtain some of these records through FIOA, but NARA—at the time—refused to comply. Some of the documents were made public following a 2023 lawsuit.

AFL adds: “Now, just a month before the 2024 Presidential election, President Biden’s lawyers and President Obama’s legal representatives are delaying the release of documents that include ’email messages with James Biden …, Lion Hall …, and [Hunter’s firm] Rosemont Seneca,’ about ‘photographs from a White House visit of Vice President Biden with James Biden [and] preparation of Vice President and Biden’s final tax forms and financial disclosures for the year 2015.'”

The National Pulse has previously reported that NARA has attempted to fight efforts to release then-Vice President Biden’s communications using pseudonymous email addresses. More of these communications are believed to exist in the now-delayed tranche of records.

Trans Kids Clinic Psychologist Convicted of Child Sex Offences Still Free to Practice: Report

Dr Ross Canade, a former lead psychologist at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust was handed a 12 month suspended sentence for ‘attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming’ and six months suspended for ‘attempting to engage in sexual conversation with a child’ earlier this year. Yet despite the nature of the convictions and his professional work bringing him into contact with children, British newspaper The Daily Telegraph claims Thursday he is still a registered psychologist who can “practice without any conditions imposed by the regulator”.

Despite the conviction, Dr Canade has not been imprisoned because his two suspended sentences are not enforced unless the convict offends again, at which point the punishment would automatically begin and they would be hauled off to jail.

Israel Planning Major Attack on Iran

The US is coordinating with Israel on its plans

Israel is planning to launch a “significant retaliation” attack against Iran over the Iranian missile barrage that targeted Israel on Tuesday, which was a response to several Israeli escalations in the region. Israeli officials acknowledged to Axios that the situation could lead to a full-blown regional war, which would involve the US.

According to the Axios report, Israel could target oil production facilities inside Iran or other strategic sites. Israeli officials say that if Iran hits back, then all options will be on the table, including strikes on Iran’s civilian nuclear facilities.

“We have a big question mark about how the Iranians are going to respond to an attack, but we take into consideration the possibility that they would go all in, which will be a whole different ball game,” an Israeli official told Axios.

Other options being considered are attacks on Iran’s air defenses or targeted assassinations. Israel has a history of killing people inside Iran, including the July 31 assassination of Hamas’s political chief, Ismail Haniyeh.

Israel would likely need US military support to launch significant strikes on Iranian territory, and the Israeli officials speaking to Axios say they are coordinating with the Biden administration. Israel wants more US support if it provokes another Iranian attack.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Tuesday that the US would work with Israel to ensure Iran faces “severe consequences.” President Biden has also said he is working with Israel on a response but said Wednesday that he wouldn’t support strikes on Iran’s nuclear facility.

“All seven of us agree that they have a right to respond, but they have to respond proportionally,” he said, referring to the Group of Seven nations. He said G7 leaders agreed to impose new sanctions on Iran, which will have little impact since Iran is already under so many.

Israel acknowledged on Wednesday that Iranian missiles made an impact on several military bases but claimed there was no significant damage. Israel is also claiming there were no major casualties, with only two Israelis suffering minor injuries. One Palestinian was killed in the Israeli-occupied West Bank when shrapnel from an intercepted missile hit him.

Iran fired about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel in response to the Israeli assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran and the Israeli killing of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and Abbas Nilforoushan, an IRGC commander who was killed alongside Nasrallah.

The FDA's emergency approval of the mRNA vaccines required enhanced disclosure in all vaccine advertising and marketing. Pfizer and Moderna dodged the rules.

“A bun in the toaster oven,” a woman exclaims off-camera, handing an ultrasound image to family members who erupt into tearful emotion over the news. “Oh my God!”

The touching baby announcement video then gets down to business as text appears on the screen amidst the ongoing celebration, suggesting the best way to stay alive for this joyous birth is by becoming vaccinated against COVID-19. “Why will you get vaccinated? … Because some people you just want to meet in person.”

It closes with the tagline: “Science can make this possible. Only you can make it real.”

The evocative 2021 television spot was funded by Pfizer just as the pharmaceutical giant was rolling out its COVID-19 vaccine. The spot may have seemed like any other pharmaceutical advertisement. But there was something missing. The ad, and many others like it financed by vaccine manufacturers, did not include any of the typical disclaimers about risks associated with vaccines, nor any disclosures that they had not yet received Food and Drug Administration approval.

Although Pfizer and other pharmaceutical companies were operating under a special Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) that allowed them to sell their COVID vaccines without going through the traditional testing and approval process, that authorization explicitly required vaccine ads to include a prominent warning that the medicines had not been fully tested for potential risks.

A RealClearInvestigations review of ads that ran tens of thousands of times during the pandemic found that the major vaccine companies routinely exploited a regulatory loophole to skirt those marketing rules while embarking on massive paid media campaigns to sell the COVID-19 vaccines. By casting their spots as public service announcements – promoting the idea that people should get vaccinated, rather than a company’s specific product – drug companies claimed the disclosure requirements did not apply.

As a result, the required disclosure about the vaccine operating under emergency approval rarely appeared in any of the ads, even as many employers, including the federal government, required tens of millions of Americans to get vaccinated.

“It’s an advertising laundering operation,” said Aaron Kheriaty, a bioethicist and fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. The ads “violate the spirit of the EUA, if not the letter of the law.”

A teacher at a Jewish school in Baltimore has been sentenced to 23 years in federal prison for sex crimes.

William “Zev” Steen, 46, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child, a felony, in the US District Court of Maryland. He was sentenced on Monday.

Steen, who taught students at Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore, an all-girls high school, admitted to filming himself abusing a young girl and sharing child pornography online. The abuse took place for five years, including two instances in 2008 when Steen filmed it, prosecutors said.

Steen was also the director of Baltimore’s Technology Awareness Group, a firm that installs filtration software on observant Jews’ phones, which would have given him access to hundreds of community members’ personal devices. The case also included allegations of trafficking in child pornography online, although there are no known connections between the crimes and either organization.

The school fired Steen, and the software firm, known as TAG Baltimore, said he was no longer employed with it after he was arrested in 2022.

The US federal government will spend nearly $150 million more this year than it did in 2023 to secure religious organizations, a jump aimed at addressing a rise in antisemitism since October 7.

The Department of Homeland Security announced last week that it had allocated $454.5 million this fiscal year toward the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which funds security enhancements at houses of worship and religious organizations. It is the largest sum ever allocated toward the program, and a significant increase from last year's figure of $305 million.

"The funds announced today will provide communities across the country with vital resources necessary to strengthen their security and guard against terrorism and other threats," Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who is Jewish, said in a statement. "The impact of these grants will be measured in lives saved and tragedies averted."

Jewish organizations have historically championed the program, which began in 2005 with an allocation of $25 million and has since grown exponentially. Most of the funding has historically gone to Jewish institutions such as synagogues, day schools, and other religious organizations — a trend that continued this year, according to the Orthodox Union.

The funds are available to all denominations facing credible threats, and in recent years Muslim and Black Christian institutions have applied for funds, often with the guidance of Jewish groups more experienced in the application process.

"Approximately 370 substations were out of service from the storm in the Duke Energy Carolinas service area. For those that were damaged and can't be repaired in a timely manner – mobile substations will be installed to allow us to restore service as soon as it is safe to do so," Duke wrote on X.
