Tim Berners-Lee, founder/inventor of the World Wide Web, is closing down the WWW foundation, which helps disseminate the internet around the world, and is focusing on his MIT project SOLID, which is basically a data management platform for data decentralization. I know more about this as it's been in development for years, but basically, very soon, the serverbased internet model and the ad model and data harvesting model of the internet is about to flipped on it's head. giant legacy companies, goodbye.
