Government intentionally hampering hurricane Helene rescue/recovery efforts
Unless there's money or political gain. Government corruption seems to be the heart and soul of hurricane (and other) relief "efforts" (along with most other things they touch) through preferred vendors, NGO's and other donors to the democrat party. Even though it's not as profitable as war, it's still Billion$ for their graft and corruption.
I know this is a lot to unpack, but it's a vitally important example of why we need to destroy the administrative state.
This is from an experienced volunteer in disaster relief. This occurred on another relief effort in the Florida Keys and was his wake up call that things are rotten in Washington D.C.
"I was able to coordinate several trucks full of supplies to be brought down to the EOC in Marathon.I was privy to the EOC meeting, BUT was informed in that meeting, that all of the semi trucks full of food, water and hygiene supplies were to be turned around and not allowed to be offloaded for distribution by the EOC.
THE REASON they gave us, was that these donations were not from companies on their "preferred vendors list" and that they would not accept them or give them to the residents of the keys impacted by the storm.
It was at that point that I realized, this is ALL ABOUT MONEY."
This explains it all. A helluva read!

As I researched the government's response, I realized this was the dominant theme throughout.
Many reports that volunteers' supplies cannot be distributed without "Training from United Way", an NGO with deep ties to the government. Indeed, voluntary donations of all types, including food and water, have been CONFISCATED BY FEMA! No profit in it unless it comes from "Preferred Vendors" I guess.
FEMA Seizing Donated Relief Supplies
SurvivalBlog’s Editor-At-Large Michael Z. Williamson forwarded this X/Twitter post link: This is why Appalachians don’t trust the government. This is why we don’t want TEMA FEMA here. They show up after 5 days to only cause problems.

There's that pesky United Way again. Hmmmm

Aaand, looky here:
Political Contributions
"Since 1990, employees of United Way Worldwide have given $433,686 to political candidates. Donations have gone up considerably over the last three election cycles, peaking in 2020 at $147,490. In that cycle, presidential candidate Joe Biden (D-DE) was the largest recipient, followed by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT). 11
UWW employees have given primarily to Democrats in every election cycle over the last 20 years except 2014. In the last three election cycles, over 90% of donations have gone to Democrats."
