Knew a guy who had a gangbanger of a brother. Really sick and twisted, total disregard for human life, a psychopath (sort of like the stories of peeps read on here). It happened that a rival gang shot him all up in the gut and left him for dead. He was taken to a hospital where they took out the bullets, closed him up and declared brain dead.
His brother was left in charge with his life and death decision, was pressured to pull the cord by the doctors and staff relentlessly to let his brother die, the costs were just to high. This went on for days. He couldn't bear to pull the plug on his brother, would look at me and say, "I just couldn't do it, no matter how bad he was and all the stuff he did, I don't want to be the one who kills him."
The gangbanger unexpectedly managed to come out of the coma, to the shock of everyone, as he had been declared dead.
From what I remember this is what he said: The gangbanger brother remembered everything he heard and, was seeing everything that was going on while his brother and the doctors argued. He says his body was suspended in the air by some sort of hooks used by demons that tormented his broken body by piercing it with these hot pokers and hot lances - poking him everywhere, he was in -non stop torture, screaming in excruciating pain. He was in deathly prayer wishing and hoping his brother would not pull the plug, knowing that once he did he would forever stay in that situation, and knowing it was well deserved. He can no longer walk, has left gang banging, tells his story but not many listen.
