Bibi had two choices for support:
1 Islamo Marxist Palestinian Authority
2 Islamo Fascist Hamas
They went with number two for reasonable strategic purpose
a divide and conquer
b let the best ideas compete
either way, it would have backfired in Israels face b/c neither option 1 or 2 was not reasonable. There were no reasonable partners in 2000 that a sane rational political leader in Israel could have supported.
