I still cannot fathom what I’m seeing in the mountains of Western NC and East TN. The damage here is irreversible. The geography has permanently changed and entire towns have been wiped away.

This is someone’s evacuation journey on hwy9 through Bat Cave, NC, very close to the town of Chimney Rock that is all but entirely gone now. Pray for WNC🙏

Look at what the power of the floodwater seen in Avery county, NC did to the steel I-beams for this railroad bridge.

This is the worst natural disaster to ever impact #WNC and probably even the entire state of North Carolina.

Why is there such a limited federal response and little national media coverage?

Libs were moving to Asheville to escape "severe weather events."

This has to be one of the most tragically ironic news media reports I've ever watched.

The lesson here is that nowhere is safe.
