It’s bullshit. There was a new moon days ago. That means we had a thumbnail moon waning prior to the new moon and another thumbnail moon waxing. The moons in these phases are like next to the Sun as they both traverse the sky. Not surprised folks don’t notice the thumbnail moons in the blinding light of the Sun. Go to timeanddate.com and run simulations for the moon this week and you will see.

Here are the simulations for the Moon for the first days of October.

Notice how the new Moon follows the Sun so closely before and after the new moon that it is lost in the glare of the Sun? see picrels
