The worst hit devastation was where the poorest live. And always have. Generations of Appalachian people. The poorest hollers.

The affluent liberals from up North are almost entirely safe. The ones who moved here and built big giant fancy houses in fancy neighborhoods. The rich fucks in the safe undestroyed areas.

Keep that important fact in mind.

We are so freaking exhausted here in WNC, and there are still so many people trapped, missing, and dead unaccounted for.

There's no end in sight. This will take more than a year to bring back to anything close to normal.
