39,000 Nevada voters receive incorrect mail-in ballots

On Monday, after the Appeal reported an error in Carson City General Election mail ballots voters received Saturday, Carson City Clerk-Recorder Scott Hoen announced the office would be resending mail ballots with corrections.

“The Carson City Clerk-Recorder is resending ballots to all Carson City voters following the discovery of an error on ballots mailed to voters,” the Clerk-Recorder’s Office said in a news release. “Candidate Lynn Chapman was mistakenly identified as Democrat or ‘DEM’ on the mail ballot, but the correct designation, which appears here, is Independent American Party or ‘IAP.’

“Every voter will receive a new ballot, listing the correct party affiliation, which will be mailed the week of Oct. 14.”

That error the Appeal found was regarding the race for U.S. Congress District 2. Other candidates are incumbent Mark Amodei, a Republican, Greg Kidd who is not affiliated with a political party, and Javi “Trujillo” Tachiquin of the Libertarian Party of Nevada.

If voters have already returned their original mail ballot, the release said, “please complete the corrected ballot, and return it according to the instructions.”

For those who have not voted on the original ballot, the release said, “please wait until you receive a corrected mail ballot to mark your choices and return your corrected ballot according to the instructions.”

“Alternatively, you may appear to vote in-person during the early voting period or on Election Day,” the release said.

Election Day is Nov. 5, and early voting begins Oct. 19.

Hoen told the Appeal in-person voting will not be affected by the errors. He said original mail ballots will still be counted if the office doesn’t receive corrected ballots, though he couldn’t explain the ramifications of someone thinking they were voting for an improperly identified partisan candidate.

Hoen also couldn’t provide a cost estimate for the re-balloting in time for the Appeal’s deadline Monday but confirmed the error in a federal race made corrected ballots necessary.

“Return ballot envelopes have unique IDs assigned to the voter and in-person voters are tracked through Nevada’s Voter Registration Election Management System, ensuring that only one ballot will be counted,” the release said. “All returned original ballots will be held until the corrected ballot is returned or the voter votes in person. If the corrected ballot from a voter who returned the original ballot is not returned and the voter does not vote in person, the Clerk-Recorder’s office will count the original ballot.”

Hoen pointed out the sample ballot, which some residents hadn’t received as of Monday, had the correct information. Another error in the mail ballot was corrected in a notice obtained by the Appeal on Monday. That error was from spelling Carson City School District Trustee 5 candidate Ashliee Saucedo’s first name wrong. On the original mail ballot, it was spelled “Ashilee.”

The Appeal contacted the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office for comment on the first error regarding party affiliation but did not hear back before the Appeal’s deadline.

Charlie Kirk — 73 million Christians are not planning to vote

NEW—According to new survey data by George Barna, only 51% of “people of faith” plan to vote this November.

TRANSLATION:

  • 41 million born-again Christians WILL NOT VOTE

  • 32 million mainline Christians WILL NOT VOTE

This is a five-alarm fire.

The local church must be activated to explain WHY voting is critical and national leaders must not take this group for granted in key issues.

We cannot expect President Trump to have a more Christian ethos if the Church refuses to vote. We cannot expect President Trump to be more pro-life if our own people don't back him up at the ballot box. The local church MUST be activated.

Christians, you are about to hand the White House to Kamala Harris.

45% of Kamala’s Call Her Daddy interview was abortion

There are 28 days until the election, and the Democratic Party of America has showered itself in utter shame this past week.

"Yeah, well, what's new?" you ask.

That's fair, I suppose. But with the still-rising human cost of Hurricane Helene, a spent POTUS back on vacation in Delaware, and a fresh Cat 5 storm bearing down on Florida, guess what Kamala chose to do with her time?

That's right. She went on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast. A pro-promiscuity show for young women that would make even Carrie Bradshaw blush.

In a sense, it's appropriate. Call Her Daddy and its host, Alex Cooper, rose to fame on the back of a fellatio technique known as the Gluck Gluck 9000. Which, as far as I can tell, is how Kamala got her start in politics.

But don't worry. You don't have to listen to it. I did that for you. You're welcome. It was horrific. Toss a tip here if you feel at all sorry for me. I hope my work is more valuable than that of your local barista.

I ran some calculations on how much time, as a percentage, they spent talking about the issues. Quelle surprise: the hurricanes, the border, crime, and the horrific state of America's foreign policy all got zero mentions.

The economy dominated a whole five minutes in total, and a whopping 45 percent of the conversation was dedicated to 'Abortion or Women's Rights or Gender Issues.'

It makes sense, given the audience, I guess. But most Call Her Daddy listeners are already likely to be Kamala voters by some margin. They're also extremely likely to not just be abortion supporters but active participants at some point(s) in their lives. In other words, Harris is running to the most extreme demographic she possibly can right now. Which means? She's given up trying to broaden her appeal.

In the grandest sense, that is probably a smart tactic. But against the backdrop of these devastating storms? It's not just jarring. It's a disgrace.

Kamala's calculations about who she needs to turn out in 28 days are increasingly unhinged, emotional, and rooted in a make-believe universe where everything else is going fine. They're not. As residents of Asheville, NC, will tell you.

Now, at the same time, it's ain't like the Trump campaign is without its self-inflicted problems. For some reason, they're doing a rally in Coachella, California, next week. Not exactly a swing state. Maybe there's something I don't know, but that seems a strange use of time.

Additionally, senior members of Trump's team are spending far too much time(read: any at all) briefing the left media on how much they hate Corey Lewandowski and his internal audit (I have personally run these stories down and can confirm their veracity, even if it is the Guardian!)

But, with 28 days to go, the smart money is pointing to a Trump victory, especially on the back of J.D. Vance's stellar debate performance and the mega Butler rally this weekend.

Still, I have lots to tell you about what I fear is happening behind the scenes. More on that later this week.

Cheers!

Howard Stern repeatedly says the N-word while wearing blackface in shocking resurfaced video ahead of Kamala Harris interview

A resurfaced video of Howard Stern wearing blackface and using the N-word during a skit has sparked fury ahead of his sit down with Kamala Harris.

The 1993 sketch features Stern, 70, sporting black face paint and white lips while repeatedly using the racial slur.

The bit was performed as a parody of Ted Danson's infamous blackface performance alongside then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg which came out in the same year.

Stern has previously apologized over the clip, but it has reappeared on social media as he is preparing to sit down with the Vice President today, prompting viewers to brand him 'disgusting'.

Stern plays Danson in blackface, as his sidekick Robin Quivers asks him questions. The answers are punchlines that involve the use of the N-word.

When the audience reacts with shock to his use of the word, Stern defends himself saying 'Whoopi wrote that'.

'Disgusting,' one angry viewer wrote on X. 'I have seen this over the years. Isn’t it something that because Stern is a leftist that he gets a pass?'

'This right here should have been the end of. Howard Stern he’s undeniably too comfortable in this gross vile skit, if anyone belongs cancelled it’s Stern, he is a pig,' another added.

'How do they get away with that, unbelievable, and that isn’t even funny, not one little bit. It’s actually pretty despicable and disgusting,' a third person said.

'Why would Kamala Harris go on the Howard Stern show? If she does go on the show with Howard Stern, that’ll tell America everything you need to know about Kamala Harris,' one person wrote.

Stern's interview with Harris forms part of a media blitz by the Vice President, which will also see her appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The View.

Previously, Harris has sat down for interviews in battleground states, including radio and podcasts.

But with Stern her audience is likely to be much larger, given his two million YouTube subscribers.

Many of the interviews are considered 'friendly' territory for the candidate. Donald Trump employs a similar strategy, often appearing on Fox News.

The interview will air on Howard’s SiriusXM channel Howard 100 and be replayed throughout the week.

Harris will then head out west ahead of early voting with stops in Nevada and Arizona.

Stern was previously forced to address the controversy around the clip after it was retweeted by Donald Trump Jr. in 2020.

'The sh I did was f*ing crazy,' he said, as reported by Deadline. 'I’ll be the first to admit. I won't go back and watch those old shows; it's like, who is that guy.

'But that was my shtick, that's what I did and I own it. I don't think I got embraced by Nazi groups and hate groups. They seemed to think I was against them too. Everybody had a bone to pick with me.'

'The big headline is this, and this is my fear in all of this,' Stern continued. 'I was able to change my approach, able to change my life and change how I communicated. If I had to do it all over again, would I lampoon Ted Danson, a white guy in blackface?

'Yeah, I was lampooning him and saying, I’m going to shine a light on this. But would I go about it the same way now? Probably not. Not probably, I wouldn’t.'

Trump Jr. retweeted the clip with the caption: 'Yikes! NSFW: Howard Stern says N-word too many times during awful blackface impression that should have Libs yelling “CANCEL!”'

But Stern hit back and said it was 'crazy' for Trump Jr. to be focused on the video at a time when coronavirus and Black Lives Matter protests were raging.

'Am I a bad guy? I don’t think so,' Stern said. 'Donald Trump didn’t think so, he was on my show 27 times. Donnie Junior did the show. On TV he said, "I’m really disappointed in Howard, he's changed," that I've gone Hollywood.

'Which is it? Do you want me to get in blackface and make fun of Ted Danson? I have changed… I remember how badly Donald Jr. wanted to take a picture with me. Dude, if you're the president of the United States and you want to worry about me, go ahead.'

Charlie Kirk:

Democrats are not happy with the state of the race.

They are deploying their very flawed and untalented candidate on a media blitz only as a last resort.

60 Minutes didn’t go well for Kamala. Call Her Daddy was an embarrassment.

Reports are building that they are nervous and worried that Trump is gaining momentum.

In GA, AZ, PA we are finishing VERY strong with voter registration.

Smart Democrats are getting more and more worried by the day.

'Teamsters President Sean O'Brien & Theo Von Roast the Democratic Party

I'll be honest with you, I'm a Democrat but they have f*cked us over for the last 40 years…Since I've been in office 2.5 years, we've given the Democratic machine $15.7 million. We've given Republicans about $340,000 truth be told. People say the Democratic Party is the party of the working people. They're bought and paid for by those Big Tech companies."
