Milton Barrels Towards Tampa-Area As A Cat. 5 Hurricane

Milton strengthened overnight into a devastating Category 5 hurricane with maximum sustained winds in excess of 160 mph. The National Hurricane Center reported early Wednseday that Milton was located about 300 miles southwest of Tampa, traversing the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico towards the northeast at 14 mph.
"On the forecast track, the center of Milton will move across the eastern Gulf of Mexico today, make landfall along the west-central coast of Florida late tonight or early Thursday morning, and move off the east coast of Florida over the western Atlantic Ocean Thursday afternoon," NHC wrote in an advisory note.
The latest forecast states Milton will make landfall near Sarasota between 0200 ET and 0600 ET Thursday morning as a Category 4 storm.

After completely biffing her 60 Minutes interview (after which the network edited out her word salad), Vice President Kamala Harris has come under fire for accusing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis of "political gamesmanship" after reports emerged that he didn't take her calls ahead of Hurricane Milton.
When asked about the alleged snub, Harris said DeSantis was being selfish and "utterly responsible" for not taking her call.

It’s obvious the so-called ‘War on Cancer’ has failed. The use of chemotherapy in cancer treatment is limited in its effectiveness and kills many.
Why is it still used? The cancer industry focuses on profit over effective treatments.
Take aspirin for example. At low doses, aspirin helps cancer patients. Studies involving one million patients with 18 different cancers showed aspirin reduced mortality by 21%. Sadly, many oncologists and cancer charities are unduly influenced by the pharmaceutical industry and see no value in persuading patients to take aspirin.
