It may not be the monitor, it may also be caused by the graphic interface from your device.
How do you connect? HDMI? Try cable first, if problem is still there, try connecting another device to screen, if problem still there, it's the screen. If not, it's the graphic interface.
Check that correct drivers are installed too.
