My wife told me this evening that she participated in a prayer group last night. After the prayer group ended, she saw that the storm had reduced from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3.
Prayer seems effective. One other method is meditation, I remember a meditation group (Transcendental, I think?) that traveled to different cities, and meditated for a few days at each. Crime reduced in each of the cities, while they were there. Really cool.
