Matthew 26:41: “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

The greatest temptation is not desire, but fear. I could bribe you, but it would never be as effective as blackmail or threatening your life. The temptation is the easy way out, submission to evil.

Resisting the temptations of evil is to not be scared, to not submit, and you will be delivered from it in the end.
