Anon would like to share some info that he remembers happening around time of USS Cole bombing…..Was DFAC cook in Korea and can remember that right before or after Cole Bombing, AFN dropped FOX news from their lineup and it caused quite an uproar at its time. Stateside, all TV's that would normally be playing in "common areas" (DFAC, Fitness Centers, Billeting check-in) on at least AF bases could only have the channels tuned into MSNBC or CNN per memorandum policy letters. Years later, was watching video clip of Cole bombing as it happened and Fox's narrative totally did not go with what the narrative was being portrayed by MSNBC and CNN was at the time…..
