Hollywood Movie - DAVE
Dave (1993) -
We all know the movie. The real president, a corrupt asshole, has a stroke and is in a coma. An impersonator named Dave steps in, pretends to be the real president, but he's a good person and starts to do good things as President.
But VP Nance is a boy scout, a good person. The corrupt Chief of Staff organizes a coup to install himself as president, sets up the VP, Nance, to take the fall for the corruption that he and the real president were involved in (an S&L scandal).
The impersonator, Dave, exposes the truth at the end on TV, pretends to have a stroke, and resumes his life.
Towards the end of the movie, Oliver Stone discusses a conspiracy theory, that ever since the first stroke that someone else has been in the white house - look at the differences - compare the pictures of the president before and after.
The real president dies 5 months after the 2nd staged stroke. A good man, Vice President Nance who has been acting under the 25th Amendment, gets sworn in as the45th President.
