The New York Times admitted Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris had plagiarized multiple passages in her 2009 book, Smart on Crime, but claimed that the copying was “not serious” and a small portion of the whole book. The plagiarism was exposed by conservative journalist Christopher Rufo, based on research by Dr. Stefan Weber, a world-renowned Austrian expert on plagiarism. Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) implied that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is slow to aid victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida.
“Right now, under President Biden, the USDA — the Department of Agriculture — is holding that money, is not dispersing it as fast as they should in our opinion,” Waltz said.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency offered households $750 each as part of the Serious Needs Assistance. FEMA refers to the amount as “an initial payment you may receive while FEMA assesses your eligibility for additional funds.” However, Waltz suggested that the USDA could use a block grant to give aid for local governments to disperse.
“They need to let that money go. Get it in the hands of state locals that can get it out to our farmers,” Waltz went on. “Thirty percent of the nation’s food supply comes through Florida sports in the winter. And obviously the clock is ticking.”

Trump proposed a solution to reduce the cost of college, and it's NOT by using our tax money to pay off other people's loans. His solution includes getting the colleges to use the endowments they get to help students

Mask mandates will be returning to several counties in California’s San Francisco Bay Area starting next month.
The orders, which were handed down by individual counties, apply mainly to health care workers, although at least two Bay Area counties have extended the requirement to visitors and patients.
A similar mandate was handed down broadly across the Bay Area for the 2023–2024 fall-through-spring period.
Health officials in counties who have issued upcoming mask mandates say that the face coverings are designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19, influenza, and other respiratory viruses, harking back to the COVID-19 pandemic when mandates were widespread across much of the United States.
