Members of the SES serve in the key positions just below the top presidential appointees. SES members are the major link between these appointees and the rest of the federal workforce. They operate and oversee nearly every government activity in approximately 75 federal agencies."
=Bottle Neck on dissemination of POTUS directives and EOs, these SES members serve as connective tissue between Elected/Appointed individuals and the agencies that carry out will of POTUS.
The DOJ sat on Lisa Page's Congressional Summons for 7 months. I wonder if there were SES members within the document trail who decided based on their membership and allegiance to SES.
"What's the difference between SES, ST, and SL positions?"
-Senior Executive Service(SES), SES positions include positions classified above GS-15 that include duties involving one or more of the functional criteria(executive or managerial) identified in law. Scientific and professional(ST) positions include positions classified above GS-15 that are not SES Positions.

SES Executives who manage Corporations within competitive markets may choose to target unaffiliated(Non-SES) companies first, saving SES-infighting until after Non-SES competition is vanquished.
