ELECTION INTERFERENCE: Last month, President Biden declared that the United States is currently in a national emergency due to concerns over foreign interference and public confidence in the electoral process. This national emergency is set to continue until September 9, 2025.
If Donald Trump were to win the election on November 5th, President Biden could theoretically assert that foreign interference played a role in the outcome and use emergency powers to secure voting centers, protect statehouses, place political opponents under house arrest, and freeze their and their supporters' bank accounts. The President's emergency powers are expansive, though Congress can terminate these powers through a joint resolution—which would likely require bipartisan support.
Representative Jamie Raskin has indicated that Democrats have a plan to prevent Trump from taking office if he wins. Is this part of that plan?

They're asking for the city to “allow observers & cameras to monitor, livestream, and record the counting of the votes with ballots scanned and made available as a public record.”

BREAKING: The 5th Circuit Court just ruled unanimously to resume Texas's ban on ballot harvesting. The panel also SLAMMED the lower court judge who blocked the law recently
"On the eve of elections in Texas, the district court has entered an injunction that impacts how ballots can be handled. It holds unconstitutional a law that has been on the books for over three years, but that the court did not see fit to enjoin until now."
Senate Bill 1, which was signed into law in 2021, made various forms of vote harvesting a crime, specifically banning “in-person interaction with one or more voters, in the physical presence of an official ballot, a ballot voted by mail, or an application for ballot by mail, intended to deliver votes for a specific candidate or measure.” And also prohibited “knowingly providing or offering to provide vote harvesting services in exchange for compensation.”
Obviously, Democrats sued, and an out-of-touch judge ruled in their favor, but the 5th Circuit stepped in after AG Paxton's quick appeal and restored the status quo. I can't wait for the Circuit's ruling on the merits. It will set a nationwide precedent for other states to do the same, if not more than Texas, to prevent fraud.
