NC county Democratic chair resigns after Trump sign stealing charges

A county Democratic chair in North Carolina resigned after he was arrested and charged with stealing road signs supporting former President Trump.

The Moore County Democratic Party announced Monday that Lowell Simon, 68, of West End, N.C., resigned from his position after the allegations related to theft of political signs.

Food activists rally in Battle Creek, seek boycott after Kellogg denies meeting

BATTLE CREEK — A rally and march in protest of artificial food dyes and preservatives in cereal Tuesday ended with chants from children and a rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" outside Kellogg's headquarters.

A crowd gathered in Friendship Park at 10:30 a.m. and listened to several speakers for about an hour and a half before marching to Kellogg's where organizers said they were delivering more than 417,000 signatures in support of the effort.
