The Center for American Rights (CAR) on Wednesday filed a formal complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against CBS News over its allegedly misleading edit of a "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Multiple Republican politicians have urged the network to release the full unedited transcripts of the appearance last week, after the vice president's answer in a clip promoting the interview differed from the answer in the full interview that aired. House Speaker Mike Johnson has also accused the network of "selectively editing" his interview.

The center said its complaint is not about "one" instance, but of broader "significant and intentional news distortion."

"This isn’t just about one interview or one network," CAR president Daniel Suhr said in a statement, according to Fox News. "This is about the public’s trust in the media on critical issues of national security and international relations during one of the most consequential elections of our time.

Two veteran prosecutors who had key roles in the special counsel Jack Smith’s pursuit of classified documents charges against President Trump have left Mr. Smith’s office, people familiar with the move said on Wednesday.

The departures amount to a tacit acknowledgment that any trial in the case will not happen for many months, if not years.

One of the prosecutors, Julie Edelstein, played a prominent role in early court hearings in the documents case and has now returned to the Justice Department’s counterintelligence section.

David Raskin, a veteran prosecutor who has handled intelligence-related cases, has returned to his previous role in the national security division at the Justice Department’s headquarters, these people said.

Sometimes when you reach mile markers in the research journey, you find something that makes you pause, rethink the previous questions and then quickly dispatch the new information.

This is one of those markers.

Many people, including RFK Jr himself and his legal team in court filings, have presented the situation and asked a question. Essentially:

Why did the DNC apparatus sue to keep RFK JR's name off certain state ballots and simultaneously sue to keep him on certain state ballots? It just didn't make sense….

… Until now.

Ballots were contracted for localized printing by those who intended to use the blanks for fraudulent purposes. RFK Jr's name ON or OFF ballots, changed the dynamic of the physical paper.

The tabulation scanners need one ballot format per precinct to scan for vote tally.

In states where they preprinted the fraudulent countly level ballots without RFK Jr's name, the DNC sued to keep him off.

That's the answer.

That also helps put context on how long this localized ballot printing and tabulation plan has been in place.
