In the early 90's, I worked with a lady whose family immigrated to America during the boat lift. She remembered as a little girl watching ships being loaded with Cuban top soil. I'm sure she didn't know what was goping on at the time, but she understood later that Castro was exporting all of Cuba's natural resources.
Cuba doesn't have anything to offer the world outside of tobacco. There is not much left.
