Get ready for another hurricane!
Hollywood Hypocrisy and the Fight for Our Nation
My Take on the Industry and America's Future
I wanted to take a moment to address something that's been making the rounds on social media recently. You may have seen my post joking that I "didnāt get blacklisted from Hollywood, I left because theyāre all pedos." While it was meant as sarcasm to highlight the horrible realities of sexual abuse in Hollywood, it sparked a lot of discussion, and I felt the need to clarify. To be clear, I havenāt (knowingly) personally encountered pedophiles in my career, but the issue of abuse in the industry is very real, as we've seen with recent news like the arrest of Sean "Diddy" Combs for sex trafficking and the disturbing allegations surrounding childrenās networks like Nickelodeon.
Itās no secret that Hollywood isn't too friendly to conservatives, especially those of us who openly profess our faith and values. Because of that, Iāve faced some challenges getting hired in mainstream projects, but itās also pushed me to create my own path in the faith-based film industry and launch Sorbo Studios with my amazing wife, Sam.
I took a moment to point out that the push-back on my silly, sarcastic tweet was likely coming from those (if they were insulted that I called out pedophiles) who likely had more to worry about than my little quips on social media!
In the article, I also spoke about the state of our country and why Iām so passionate about voting for Donald Trump in 2024. Our economy is in shambles, our borders are out of control, putting undue pressure on our communities, and our education system is failing our kids. If we don't address these issues, weāre in real trouble. And, frankly, isnāt it obvious by now that Iām not the least bit bothered by some āmeans tweets?ā
