devils advocate question

if he does do the tarrifs how many products that are currently being made over seas, even things as basic as clothing how will they be affected. Seeing as how there is not manufacturing ability or factories for many of these items currently in America, the foreign manufacturers are going to just increase prices on the consumer. Trump is trying to get them to build plants here if they want an American market, but that does take time to set up. He is not wrong in principle it is just how do you do that with out affecting the american consumer. On the flip side, it will affect almost every single drop shipping company from amazon to walmart also and that cheap chinese Temu shit. That could be good. But no matter how you think about amazon or walmart they make up a large chunk of the american economy and shopping ability in many places. Which was also a corporate take over of small town america. smart anons thoughts welcome.

the best part is it does not really matter if it is real or fake. What matters is the effect it has one people and at this point the entire election should be called into question. Which may or may not be part of the plan. But it is happening.

I am all for the ending of the tax bullshit considering none of that money goes to helping americans. But my questions still stand. The problem with the hyperbole of shopping smarter is that many live in areas where that is not possible because those towns and areas have been under attack for generations removing locals stores and manufacturing. Libs like pointing out that even the bible Trump hocked was printed in china. American manufacturing as it stands now is not affordable for many. So that is a little glib, to shop smarter. IF manufacturing expands here yes that opens more jobs, but will americans work those jobs and what sectors can then maybe be refocused.

Tarrifs are great but to think the companies affected are not going to raise their prices unless it becomes an issue of they lose the entire american market and could they afford that loss also.

yes thank you. So these tariffs would affect stores like Walmart, practically everything in there is made elsewhere. Most things are. Trump is right, but how do you cushion the damage of foreign companies butt fucking the american consumer while domestic manufacturing is brought up to speed. so that americans can be serviced. And this slave labor what the fuck happens to them. Because hate to say it americans consumerism is what keeps their villages fed. Shit fucking system all around. That is why I am asking the questions about the back end ramifications of this.
